Design Brief

The goal is to customers an unparalleled and consistent automotive experience through the development of the EV Charger, taking inspiration from my dream car - the iconic McLaren Speedtail. Rooted in McLaren's design philosophy of "everything for a reason," The charger incorporates meticulous attention to detail in every aspect. The design exudes a sense of pure, streamlined elegance, embodying the essence of McLaren's aesthetic principles.

The combination of unique design features and high-performance capabilities makes the Speedtail visually exotic and attention-grabbing.

Sculptural

The body of the Speedtail is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, creating visually captivating curves and contours.

Elegant

The design language exudes sophistication and refinement, with a balance between striking features and subtle elegance.

Futuristic

The design elements convey a sense of innovation and forward-thinking, pushing the boundaries of automotive aesthetics.

Dynamic

The Speedtail's design captures a sense of motion, even at a standstill, through its sweeping lines and aggressive stance.

Ideation Sketch

After immersing myself in McLaren's brand language, I began incorporating elements of exoticism, sculptural elegance, futuristic aesthetics, and dynamic forms into my sketching process.

Form Study

CAD Model

During the creation of the three-dimensional models, I encountered numerous challenges. However, through increased patience and a continuous learning process, I successfully resolved complex surface issues and achieved highly satisfying results. In addition to this, I took the initiative to design my own scenario—a McLaren Hotel—utilizing CAD tools to ensure providing a seamless and exceptional McLaren experience to customers.
